Rhinos Keep Streak Alive With 3-0 Win
|
Arnout van Hulst pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Ballard Beavers, despite van Hulst's fine outing, dropped a 3-0 decision to the Redwood Rhinos at The Beaver Dam. The Rhinos now have a record of 38-31 with the win over Ballard.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Lou de Klerk? The Redwood first baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put the Rhinos on top, 2-0. For the game, de Klerk had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Gerald Clark. "That was the problem."
