Uruguayans Losing Streak at 5 After Extra-Inning Loss to Octopi
|
Ogallala Octopi starter Eduardo Garduño pitched a strong game against the Germantown Uruguayans at Ballpark of Albuquerque, leading the Octopi to victory, 2-1. Germantown has now lost 5 straight.
Late-game drama came in the top of the 11th inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Will Robertson, hit a triple. It helped Ogallala seize the win.
"We had a chance to win," said Germantown manager Jorge Carranza, "but we didn't get it done."
