Gators Beat Beavers, 3-1

In a low-scoring affair between the North Ft. Myers Gators and the Northwest Territory Beavers, pitcher Alex Wilson was the difference between victory and defeat. The North Ft. Myers right-hander earned accolades in the 3-1 Gators win. Sancho Galván, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save. North Ft. Myers currently is in third place in the Silver Low A at 40-20.
The Gators grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With two out, Cliff Baldwin hit a 2-run home run off Bobby Landry, putting North Ft. Myers in front, 3-0. For Baldwin, it was his 2nd home run of the season.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Gators manager Peter Williams, "I like our chances."
