The Memphis Music and Ballard Beavers provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Ballard Beavers stopped the Memphis Music, 6-5, behind an impressive performance from Thomas Austin. The 20-year old second baseman made life miserable for Memphis pitching. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Ballard pitcher Cory Davis got the win. He's now 2-1. Ted Elkins was tagged with the loss.

Ballard took a 6-5 lead on Juan Gutiérrez's 13th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Gutiérrez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Memphis pitcher Ted Elkins visibly frustrated.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Ballard manager Gerald Clark.

The Beavers improved to 26-32.
