Rhinos Win at Amarillo, 6-2
|
Redwood rode a decent outing from starter Yoshitaka Shinohara to victory over the Amarillo Warheads. The final score was 6-2. Shafeeq bin Fakhry picked up the save, his 15th. Redwood is now 27-28, Amarillo 19-36.
Esteban Ortega provided a timely hit. The Redwood center fielder delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rhinos on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Redwood manager Dave Parrish.
