Nebraska Aquarium was the site of quite a ballgame.
Ogallala Octopi starter Alejandro Martínes was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Northwest Territory Beavers, 3-0. Ogallala reliever Garland Koch picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jesús Paz took the loss.
Ogallala won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and Jesús Paz on the mound for Northwest Territory, pinch hitter Lorenzo Mena hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Octopi fans to their feet.
"No time for posing," said Mena. "The next game will be here before you know it."
Ogallala, now 26-28, holds down 5th place in the Silver Low A.
