Chalmers Dominant in Ogallala Win
|
In a low-scoring game between the Ogallala Octopi and the North Ft. Myers Gators, pitcher Darien Chalmers was masterful on the mound. The Ogallala right-hander spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. Nick Price earned save number 13 this season. The 'W' lifts Ogallala's record to 22-26.
Chalmers made it look easy. He scattered 5 hits over 7.1 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 3-5.
Afterward, Octopi manager Félix Cruz was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
