Beavers Win Thriller, 3-2

The Bethlehem Angel Kitties got a sterling performance from pitcher Toshiki Matsushita, but the Northwest Territory Beavers still prevailed, 3-2. Matsushita threw 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The Beavers saw their win-loss record go to 27-21. At the same time, the Angel Kitties fell to 20-28.
Joe Shelton was the walk-off hero for Northwest Territory. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Beavers shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
Bethlehem manager Justin Broadfoot said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
