Redwood Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Good production from designated hitter Allen Bennett helped the Redwood Rhinos topple the Germantown Uruguayans, 6-3. Bennett went 2 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Rhinos. With the win, the Rhinos have a record of 23-24.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Bennett hit a fastball from Javier Rosa for a 3-run home run. The Rhinos, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Bennett said in his postgame press conference.
