Angel Kitties Cut Down Octopi, 3-2

Bethlehem picked up a win at Nebraska Aquarium, bumping off the Ogallala Octopi, 3-2. Pitcher Toshiki Matsushita was a major reason the Angel Kitties emerged victorious. The winning pitcher was Matsushita, now 3-1. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. Luis Sánchez closed the door for Bethlehem, picking up his 12th save of the year.
Bruce Ayers helped out the Bethlehem cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 5.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Ogallala manager Félix Cruz.
The win puts Bethlehem at 14-24.
