Beavers Fall Short, 6-5, at Germantown
|
With right fielder Yong-sung Kim leading the charge, the Germantown Uruguayans defeated the Northwest Territory Beavers, 6-5, at Ballpark of Albuquerque. Kim was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Germantown reliever Javier Rosa picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Bobby Landry took the loss. Germantown, with the win, climbs to 5-32.
Kim contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Germantown in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-2, Kim took a fastball from Bobby Landry and stroked the home run to left-center. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Uruguayans to leap in front, 6-3.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Kim.
