The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish picked up a win at Dodge Field, knocking off the North Ft. Myers Gators, 4-3. Starting pitcher Roger Marshall played a key role in the triumph. The second-place Puffer Fish lifted their record to 24-12.

Plattsburgh used the timely hitting of Bill Reid to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Puffer Fish on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Reid.
