Rhinos Edge Beavers, 3-2
|
The Ballard Beavers got a superb performance from second baseman Thomas Austin. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Redwood. The Rhinos won the game, 3-2. Austin went 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. The Rhinos move to 20-14 with the win, while the Beavers drop to 16-18.
The Rhinos got a big hit from left fielder Ricardo Cantú. In the bottom of the fifth, Cantú pounded a solo home run to right. His 8th home run of the season put the Rhinos ahead, 3-1.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Redwood manager Dave Parrish.
