Octopi Suffer 4-1 Loss to Rhinos
|
The Ogallala Octopi got a superb performance from pitcher Darien Chalmers. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Redwood. The Rhinos won the game, 4-1. Chalmers threw 6.0 innings allowing 4 runs. The Octopi, at 11-17, have lost 5 straight games.
The Rhinos got a big at-bat from catcher Brandon Astbury. For the game, Astbury was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Redwood a 3-1 lead.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Astbury told the Redwood News.
