Beavers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Octopi
Good production from first baseman Reggie Ewbank helped the Ballard Beavers topple the Ogallala Octopi, 7-6. Ewbank went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the Beavers. Ballard is now 9-13, Ogallala 10-12.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Ewbank hit a fastball from Matt Dougherty for a run-scoring single. The Beavers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Ewbank told a Ballard Observer reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
