Redwood Gets 4-2 Win
|
Bethlehem got a decent performance from pitcher César Chávez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Redwood Rhinos. Redwood won the Kittie Park contest, 4-2. Chávez threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Shafeeq bin Fakhry closed it out for his 7th save. The win puts Redwood at 11-8.
Redwood used the bat of Ricardo Cantú to capture the win. The left fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Rhinos ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Cantú.
