Ogallala rode a fine outing from starter Máximo Espinoza to victory over the Redwood Rhinos at Nebraska Aquarium. The final score was 6-2. Espinoza went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-1. Matt Dougherty closed the game out for Ogallala, earning his 1st save.

The Octopi got an important contribution from first baseman Vladsislas Nizovkin, who in the bottom of the first hit a fastball into right for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Octopi ahead, 3-0.

Nizovkin told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
