|
Getting an impressive start from John Farmer, Northwest Territory beat Amarillo by the score of 4-2. Farmer, now 2-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The win moves Northwest Territory to a record of 5-6.
Northwest Territory used the bat of Jerome Carter to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Beavers ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Northwest Territory skipper Robert Acker.
