Gators Stay Hot, Beat Angel Kitties, 7-4
|
The North Ft. Myers Gators weathered a fine game by Bethlehem second baseman Duane Foster to upend the Angel Kitties, 7-4, at Dodge Field. Foster was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The save went to Alex Wilson, number 3 for him. North Ft. Myers, now 8-2, is playing great baseball to start the year.
In the bottom of the sixth, North Ft. Myers first baseman Cliff Baldwin put his team on top. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit his 1st home run of the year. Bethlehem pitcher Maxime Antoine served it up. Just like that, the Gators were ahead, 6-4.
"I still think this team can play even better," Baldwin told the North Ft. Myers News.
