The Amarillo Warheads got a superb performance from pitcher Akihito Miura, but the Redwood Rhinos still won the game, 5-4. Miura threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 runs. Redwood, now 7-2, is playing great baseball to start the year.

Redwood won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With no outs and Gustavo Villa on the mound for Amarillo, shortstop Luis Tañón hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Rhinos fans to their feet.

"This game tested our mettle," said Tañón.
