The Ogallala Octopi got a strong performance from pitcher Alejandro Martínes, who stymied the Memphis offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Nebraska Aquarium. Martínes, now 2-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Nick Price got credit for the save for Ogallala. It was his 3rd of the year.

Ogallala took a 4-1 lead on Rodrigo Rodríguez's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Rodríguez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Memphis pitcher Benedito Punahele visibly frustrated.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Memphis skipper Jorge Baca, "and it cost us."

The loss makes Memphis 7-2.
