Zarauza Socks 2 Home Runs in 8-2 Hicksville Win
|
The Hicksville Hounds topped the Crowley Cajuns, 8-2, in USPL Low A action at Hound Pound. The game was highlighted by the performance of Hicksville third baseman Gonzalo Zarauza. Jorge Rosa notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 6.1 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Hicksville is now 43-51.
With Hicksville leading 3-0 in the bottom of the seventh, Zarauza hit a fastball from Carlos Allard for a grand slam home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Hounds ahead, 7-0.
"I wish every win came this easy," said Zarauza.
