Fading Zoomies Lose 8th Straight
|
Quebec City starter Brent van Wijk had a strong outing against the Shady Side Zoomies at Dylan Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 3-1 win. Picking up the save was Mark Wood, his 17th. The slumping Zoomies have lost 8 straight.
Kevin Clark contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat that helped Quebec City get the win.
"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager John Aston. "But it's got to translate into wins."
