Crowder Leads Gators to 6-1 Win Over Octopi
|
The North Ft. Myers Gators downed the Ogallala Octopi, 6-1. The hitting star was catcher Michael Crowder. Crowder hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Gators. Juan Rodríguez, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held Ogallala to 1 run on 1 hit over 5.1 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. With the win, North Ft. Myers is 2-0.
North Ft. Myers took a 5-1 lead on Crowder's 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Dylan Snider in the top of the sixth, propelled North Ft. Myers to the win.
