Sánchez belts 2 home runs to Power Centennial Offense
|
The Fort Knox Centennial eked out a 3-2 win versus the Hicksville Hounds at Ballpark of Baxter. Nobody did more than center fielder Víctor Sánchez. He was terrific. Roger Cain notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 1-2. The first-place Centennial have a one-game lead in their division.
Cliff Stone had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the eighth for Fort Knox. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Fort Knox in front, 3-1.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Stone told the Fort Knox News.
