The Quebec City Baby Blues got a stellar effort from pitcher Geoffrey White, helping Quebec City score a win over the visiting Hudsonville Flanderses, 3-1. Quebec City reliever Geoffrey White got the win, raising his record to 4-2. Ricardo Moya was tagged with the loss. John Bowen earned the save for Quebec City, his 1st of the year.
The Flanderses had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Baby Blues going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old right fielder Carlos Torres came to the plate. Torres hit a 2-run home run on a 2-2 cutter from Hudsonville hurler Ricardo Moya. It was Torres's 15th home run of the year.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said White.
Quebec City is second in the Premier Low A with a record of 46-25.
