Nornabell Slugs Crossbeaus to 4-2 Win
|
The Beaumont Crossbeaus handed the Shady Side Zoomies a loss at Terriers Ballpark. The final score was 4-2. Vincent Nornabell was one of the major contributors for Beaumont. In addition to his 1 single and 2 home runs, he scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Kun-young Paek picked up the win with 8 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 4-9. The 9th-place Zoomies have dropped 5 straight games.
Nornabell had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from John Pope, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Crossbeaus a 3-2 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Nornabell.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Beaumont manager Stephen Richards. "Our pregame was pretty good."
