Shady Side pitcher Luis Romero was good. Really good. He twirled a 0-hit shutout to beat the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 1-0. Shady Side is in 9th place in the Premier Low A with a record of 22-35.
Romero, who leaned on his fastball, allowed no runs on just no hits over 10 innings for the Zoomies. For the most part, Beaumont hitters were simply overmatched.
"I felt good even in the late innings," said Romero after the game.
