The Quebec City Baby Blues got a superb performance from pitcher Brent van Wijk, but the Fort Knox Centennial still won the game, 4-3. van Wijk threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Fort Knox now sits at 35-21, while Quebec City falls to 35-21.
This game was not decided until Víctor Sánchez came to bat in the top of the tenth. With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out, the Fort Knox right fielder hit a sacrifice fly. The Centennial took the lead, 4-3.
"I like how we battled to the end," said Sánchez.
