Seattle Beats Oakland, 3-1
|
Virgil Dickerson never let the Oaks get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Rocketeers to a win, 3-1. Ben van de Loo got the save, the 3rd for him this season. Their 16-12 record puts the Rocketeers third in the Silver League.
Seattle used the bat of Felipe Lamoncha to capture the win. The designated hitter jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rocketeers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
Lamoncha told a Seattle Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
