Allard Leads Crowley to 4-1 Win
|
The Crowley Cajuns topped the Athletic Club KC U-21, 4-1, in USPL Low A action at Titans Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Crowley pitcher Carlos Allard. Francisco Álvarez recorded the save, his 11th. Crowley, at 29-16, sits in first place in the Premier Low A.
The Cajuns liked what they saw from Allard. The 20-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the U-21 to 1 run on 4 hits over 7.1 innings, and striking out 10.
"I thought we played a nice game," Allard told the Crowley News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
