|
Quebec City center fielder Alden Swain was a significant contributor in his team's 9-2 triumph over the Shady Side Zoomies. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Quebec City. Il-sang Kuk got the win, improving to 4-3. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. The win gives Quebec City a season record of 27-17.
With Quebec City leading 3-0 in the top of the second, Swain hit a fastball from John Pope for a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Baby Blues ahead, 6-0.
