Aspden Propels Fort Knox to 2-0 Win
|
Brent Aspden never let the Crossbeaus get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Centennial to a win, 2-0. The save was credited to Roger Cain, his 3rd. Beaumont's current losing streak has reached 5 games.
Aspden earned the win, going 7 strong innings for Fort Knox. The native of Queenstown, New Zealand, allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 10. Beaumont hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Aspden.
