Baby Blues Earn 3-2 Win Versus Flanderses
|
The Quebec City Baby Blues picked up a win at Hudsonville Park, knocking off the Hudsonville Flanderses, 3-2. Starting pitcher Brent van Wijk was a big reason why. Shusui Ichihara locked down his 3rd save. Quebec City has a record of 18-12, placing them third in the Premier Low A.
Rob Martin provided a timely hit. The Quebec City second baseman delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Baby Blues on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"We were in it," said Hudsonville manager Mark Davis. "We just didn't score enough runs."
