Helmer Delivers Walk-Off Win for Trash Pandas
The Quebec City Baby Blues got a superb performance from pitcher Brent van Wijk. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Watford City. The Trash Pandas won the game, 5-4. van Wijk threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Watford City reliever Eliot Thompson picked up the win to move to 2-0. Geoffrey White suffered the loss. Watford City, with the win, is 8-15.

Roger Helmer was the walk-off hero for Watford City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Trash Pandas shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Helmer said.
