The Myrtle Beach Seahawks beat the Columbia River Rats, 7-2. Myrtle Beach pitcher and Madison, Alabama, native Colby Hopkins led the way. The win makes Myrtle Beach 36-51.
The Seahawks got a lift from right fielder Juan Salazar, who in the bottom of the first hit a 2-run double. His 14th double of the season put the Seahawks on top, 2-0.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Salazar.
