6-1 Shredders Win over Cattlemen Evens Season Record
|
Ft. Worth got a decent performance from pitcher Chase Davis, but it wasn't enough to beat the Hollywood Shredders. Hollywood won the The Cattle Pen contest, 6-1. Davis threw 5.2 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Tetsuyuki Ando got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. Hollywood is in 6th place in the Silver League with a record of 12-12.
Paul Roberts, the 24-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Roberts contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the fifth inning to put Hollywood up, 1-0.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Shredders manager Bill Cheese, "I like our chances."
