Columbia Stadium was the site for USPL Single A action featuring the Columbia River Rats and Athletic Club KC U-24.

Ánibal Ramos never let the River Rats get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his sinker, to pitch the U-24 to a win, 6-1. At 41-42, the U-24 claim 6th place in the Premier A.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Thad Conley? The Athletic Club KC third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the U-24 on top, 3-0. For the game, Conley had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Athletic Club KC manager Sherwood Baker.
