Windus Hits 2 home runs in Cajuns Win
|
The timely hitting of Tom Windus helped the Crowley Cajuns down the Hicksville Hounds, 3-1. Windus hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Cajuns. Ted Bottone was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with 2 walks and 7 strikeouts. Early on, the Cajuns, at 14-2, have excelled.
Windus had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Cajuns went on to win.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Crowley manager Neal Davis.
