Behind the hitting of Blair Sparks, the Beaumont Crossbeaus stopped the Quebec City Baby Blues, 5-2. Sparks went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Crossbeaus. Lien-ying Cheung earned the save for Beaumont, his 6th of the year. The win puts Beaumont at 8-8.

Sparks contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Beaumont in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Sparks took a curveball from Manuel Delgado and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Crossbeaus to leap in front, 3-2.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Sparks.
