The Laredo Hawks topped the Monroeville Yinzers, 5-0, in USPL Single A action at Hawks Field. The standout performance belonged to Laredo pitcher and Brooklyn, New York, native Michael Wright. The win puts Laredo at 43-33 this season.
Wright, who was born in Brooklyn, New York, threw 103 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing no runs.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Monroeville manager Jorge Reyes.
