Seattle Gets 3-0 Win
|
Howard Randolph pitched a gem to lead Seattle to victory over the Baltimore Bullets, 3-0. Randolph went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 3-1. Ben van de Loo locked down his 2nd save.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Antti-Jussi Sulander? The Seattle designated hitter had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rocketeers on top, 2-0. For the game, Sulander had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"Howard -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Rocketeers manager James Walker. "He was the key to us winning."
Seattle is now 14-8, 2 games up in the Silver League.
