Caterpillars Get Past Monroeville for 1-0 Win
|
The Grand Forks Caterpillars racked up a win at The Cocoon, bumping off the Monroeville Yinzers, 1-0. Jerry Bishop, who started for Grand Forks, pitched effectively for his team. Ernesto Acosta, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities. The 9th-place Yinzers have dropped 6 straight games.
Grand Forks took a 1-0 lead on In-chor Kim's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Kim hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Monroeville pitcher Laionela Pualani shaking his head.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bishop told the Grand Forks Citizen.
