Hawks Sneak By Hobeaus, 4-3
|
Laredo picked up a win at Smokies Stadium, toppling the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, 4-3. Pitcher Ric Nelson was one of the reasons the Hawks triumphed. Laredo is now 33-21.
This game was not decided until Andrew Perkins came to bat in the top of the 11th. With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out, the Laredo center fielder grounded out, driving in 1 run. The Hawks took the lead, 4-3.
"Exciting game to play in," said Nelson. "Getting the win makes it even better."
