The Columbia River Rats took Grand Forks pitcher Chip Sizemore's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Cocoon. The final score had Columbia getting past the Caterpillars, 4-3. Sizemore went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 6. Columbia has run its win streak to 4 in a row.

Columbia used the clutch hitting of Wen Pai to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to give the River Rats the lead, 4-3. For the game, Pai had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.

"It was a test of wills," said Kevin McCoy, the Columbia skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
