Hobeaus Lose to Crawdads in Walk Off
|
Tyson Robertson was superb against Smoky Mountain. The right-hander, who leads the PA in strikeouts with 81, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Crawdads victory. The score was 3-2. The win belongs to Al Hussey in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Yok-sing Zhou took the loss for Smoky Mountain. The 4th-place Crawdads improved to 28-20.
Cut Off won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Yok-sing Zhou on the mound for Smoky Mountain, center fielder Walt Sellek hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Crawdads fans to their feet.
"I had a good game plan," said Robertson. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Manuel Barrios said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
