In a low-scoring contest, Monroeville pitcher Laionela Pualani was marvelous in his team's 3-1 win. Ken Lewis got the save, the 12th for him this season. The Yinzers go to 18-28 with the win.

The Yinzers got an important contribution from first baseman Chris McNally, who in the bottom of the third knocked a 1-0 sinker into right for a 2-run double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Yinzers ahead, 3-0.

Pualani said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
