Seahawks Beat U-24, 4-1
|
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks picked up a win at Seahwaks Stadium, taking down the Athletic Club KC U-24, 4-1. Starting pitcher Bill Wheeler was a big reason why. At 12-13, the Seahawks find themselves in 7th place in the Premier A.
Mark Stone was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs for Myrtle Beach. The 24-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ánibal Ramos. It was his 4th walk of the season.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Wheeler.
