The Myrtle Beach Seahawks topped the South Beach Blaze, 7-3, in USPL Single A action at The Ballpark on the Beach. The standout performance belonged to Myrtle Beach pitcher and South Gate, California, native Ben Brock. In 7 innings, Brock surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. The Seahawks now have a record of 11-13 with the win over South Beach.

The Seahawks got a big at-bat from center fielder Panagiotis Solomonidis, who in the top of the fifth hit a 2-run double. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Seahawks on top, 4-2.

"They played a better game than we did," said South Beach skipper Vicente Rodríguez.
