Airmen Go Down to Defeat, 4-2
|
Grim Reapers starter Alfonso Escamilla pitched a strong game against the Alameda Airmen at Alameda Field, leading the Reapers to victory, 4-2. Grim, now 51-43, holds down 7th place in the Silver A.
The Reapers got an important contribution from catcher William Stewart, who in the top of the fourth hit a first pitch curveball into right for a solo home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Reapers ahead, 3-1.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Stewart told the Grim Daily.
